Embark on an exploration of magnificent San Telmo and La Boca, two of Buenos Aires’ most beloved neighborhoods. San Telmo is without question one of the trendiest quarters of the city thanks to its cool, bohemian atmosphere and famed antique shops. Plaza Dorrego is the place to be on Sundays to find anything from antiques, memorabilia, second-hand clothes to dusty magazines during its traditional Antiques Fair. Next, set out to experience La Boca, arguably one of the city’s most authentic neighborhoods. La Boca’s history was largely shaped by immigrants who established themselves within this gritty port-side barrio. A working-class district, La Boca has jealously guarded its identity, of which soccer and tango are major ingredients. What will strike you immediately is the peculiar architecture, especially along Caminito Street, which in 1959 was declared an outdoor museum. It is the work of one of Argentina’s most famous painters and neighborhood philanthropists, Quinquela Martín. He gathered neighbors to paint the houses, made out of tin and scrap metal, in bright colors, emulating the early immigrants. The most recognizable icon, though, is La Bombonera (the Chocolate Box), right in the heart of the area and home of the Boca Juniors, the country’s largest soccer club.

A whirlwind of discovery awaits during a day at leisure in enchanting Buenos Aires. Argentina’s dazzling capital invites you to explore its very best, boasting an unforgettable collection of museums, restaurants, historic monuments, and sprawling green spaces in each of its barrios. For art aficionados, a visit to the MALBA museum is a must, while the grand 19th-century Teatro Colon is sure to impress. Stroll down El Caminito in La Boca to see the famously vibrant houses, the perfect backdrop for a souvenir photo. Indulge your sweet tooth at the San Telmo Market, or discover local artisanal products during its weekend showcase, where you can immerse yourself in local culture amid cobblestone streets and contemporary art spaces. Book lovers should make a point to stop at El Ateneo Grand Splendid, a palatial cinema transformed into one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Take in a tango show or try your hand (and feet) at the famous Argentinian dance yourself with the help of a professional lesson. Unwind at the Plaza de Mayo, simply soaking in the scene and observing the towering white obelisk commemorating the country’s independence from Spain. The city offers plenty of stunning botanic gardens ideal for an afternoon stroll or a serene respite during a day of non-stop adventure.
Buenos Aires and tango are nearly synonymous, and no trip to this cosmopolitan gem is complete without catching a show. This evening, enjoy a special night out as you are picked up from your hotel by a private driver and a bilingual guide, setting out for Rojo Tango. Take in a sophisticated performance that showcases the rhythm, emotion, and gentle precision require to master this intimate dance. Delivered in a small venue, the costume and hairdo of each performer is accentuated, allowing you to better appreciate the embroideries, designs and attention to detail. Adding to the experience, you’ll enjoy a gourmet meal paired with refreshments, all of which is included. Before long, the evening will wind to an end and you will be returned to your hotel, full in body and spirit.

Today you will experience the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls from Misiones, the area which borders Brazil. After being picked up by your English-speaking guide, you will be transferred to Iguassu National Park to board a small intra-park train to the first above-water platforms. Marvel at the scenery as you wind your way along this intricate path system to the imposing “Garganta del Diabo” (in Spanish) or Devil’s Throat. This awe-inspiring section of the falls funnels 50 percent of the overall flow into a narrow section, letting out a deep roar and a huge amount of mist. While the Devil’s Throat is closer to the Brazilian side, the Argentinians created an expansive and elevated walkway in order to allow visitors to position themselves right above the action! At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel.
This afternoon, get ready for the ultimate Iguassu Falls experience as you enjoy a boat ride that will get you up close and personal with this incredible natural wonder! After a short off-road truck ride through the jungle, descend about 250 steps to a dock to board a small speedboat and start your exciting ride. Zip over rapids through the Iguassu River Canyon and get tantalizingly close to several waterfalls, including the Three Musketeers, the Devil’s Throat and San Martin falls. Hold on to your seats, next you’re headed straight under the falls for a refreshing shower! From there you’ll truly be able to feel the raw, natural power of the thundering water first-hand. Expect to get wet on this one of a kind experience. Dry bags will be provided for your personal belongings (clothes, shoes, phones, cameras etc.) to reduce the risk of damage or loss. Ponchos, jackets, towels or other personal waterproof gear is not provided. It is highly recommended that you bring a change of clothes or waterproof clothing to better enjoy the rest of your afternoon.

Please note as you are crossing an international border, you will need to present your passport. At the beginning of the foot path, stop for a moment to marvel at the sweeping view. Unlike the Argentinian side, most of the falls on the Brazilian side feel farther away. However, this allows guests to take in a stunning panoramic perspective, perfect for snapping outstanding photos. The walkways on the Brazilian side are short but impactful, giving you the sensation that you are walking on the edge of the waterfalls themselves, looking over the railings into the flowing depths. At the end of the platform, you’ll find yourself right in the heart of the Devils Throat. From here, feel the raw and natural power of your incredible surroundings.
